CD Projekt Red has been in the news recently for their delayed game release of the most awaited and hyped - Cyberpunk 2077. The concerned delay has been mainly noted for the ongoing optimization being worked on to finalize the release inclusive of the current gen consoles' support. Though the game has already been completed and ready to be launched for PC and Next-Gen consoles, CD Projekt Red Co-CEO Adam Kiciński has stated,

The game is ready for the PC and runs great on the next-gen consoles, and could be shipped on the scheduled date on those platforms. However, even though the game has been certified on the current gens by both Sony and Microsoft, some very final optimisation processes for such a massive and complex game require a bit of additional time.

Further to be noted with a technical analysis, CD Projekt Red stock expectations tumbled with a bearish view and continued to be so with lesser volumes being traded compared to the previous day's volumes.

However, on a monthly basis, though the stock has a parabolic uptrend showing potential hype on the masterpiece to be released in this year, delays and the crunch working practices has hit hard on the market view as they fall from the range of 400 to 335 on the month of October, 2020.

Targeting on such views and outlook of the market, the Co-CEO has also stated on further project decisions to be based on next-gen consoles only rather than focusing also on the current gens. Citing some expectations, he noted,

We are releasing a game which is, to be honest, a next-gen game, and we're preparing it for fairly old machines, which poses certain unique challenges that won't occur in future projects.

On a conference call conversation with Co-CEO Adam Kiciński, regarding the release date of Cyberpunk 2077, earlier this year, a participant had called upon the current work on different AAA projects besides Cyberpunk which the developer had revealed previously. In regard to that, Adam Kiciński stated on a parallel working project of Cyberpunk Multiplayer - to be released later beyond 2021.

Yes, I mean, the AAA we're working on in parallel is Cyberpunk Multiplayer. . . . The release date of Cyberpunk Multiplayer will probably move beyond 2021.

However, back in March the developer had stated to have been working on a new singleplayer game creating a "relatively clear concept that is waiting for further development ". With the release of Witcher 3 and its immense popularity, the author - Andrzej Sapkowski, had stated his miscalculation on selling the rights to the developer as he was uncertain of such popularity and had disapproved their offer for a percentage of profits. The author had stated,

. . . I was stupid enough to leave everything in their hands because I didn't believe in their success. But who could foresee their success? I couldn't.

Later on demanding more as a compensation for the underpaid work, the author boggled forth a letter, claiming more than $16.11 Million in royalties. The developer accepted the disputed matter with intended resolution "to maintain good relations with the author" noting further about a new agreement in a press release,

The agreement satisfies and fully clarifies the needs and expectations of both parties, past and present, and sets out a framework for the future cooperation between the two sides.

Such showcases the potential development of Witcher 4 and the current statement of Co-CEO Adam Kiciński clears out the mind for the upcoming releases based on only the Next-Gen consoles and PC.
